I grew up to the sound of a typewriter’s rhythmic tune coming from my father’s room. I was runner up in the school spelling bee and thrived on new vocabulary words. My parents would drop me off at the local library every Saturday for 2 hours and I would gather my tomes, then sit and read Stephen King until my parents came to pick me up. Needless to say, I have a love for the written word.
I used to write a newsletter for my friends every day, things like, “Word of the Day”, “Funny Video”, ‘Today in History’. It was something to do while I was passing the time from being a single mom of 6, to when they were at their dad’s house. My first blog was born, Lilithology. Shortly thereafter came Crunchy Green Mom and I worked on that passion for 9 years, it is still around documenting the lives of my family and being a reminder of times past.
Sometime in there I met an amazing man, he would become the yin to my yang. We went on our first trip 6 months into our relationship, trepedatious as to how the other person traveled. It was on that trip to Tempe, Arizona and the Grand Canyon that proved to me I had found the one I was meant to adventure with. We were married 3 years later and became a blended family of 7 kids.
Did I mention the man? Dave Smith is my best partner. He and I started talking one day about what our next emprise and this is it. Everyday Lush is our next step, Co-writing (he is a funny, funny man) living each day as an adventure, full of good food, drink, conversation and sights. We are family people, but before it all, we are individuals that love life.
My passions- Life, Writing, Photography, Adventure and writing about those adventures every day!
We are very PR friendly and love working with companies all over the world.

I was blessed to have lived in many places all over the country and this has provided me with cultural tastes from both coasts as well as the heartland. I was raised by a family who loved to eat and I have continued that trend into adulthood. From the fish tacos of California, to the delicacy of Fry Sauce in Utah and the magical pizza of New Jersey, my desire for good food and drink continued to the green chili of Colorado and finally the need for cabbage rolls (Runza) in Nebraska. Wherever I go, I try the food and drinks on my travels. There has been plenty of bad followed by multiple trips to the “facilities”, That nasty incident with pirogi comes to mind.
Throughout my years, I have finally found a partner that loves food, drink and adventures as much as I do. We began this trip in 2008 and for the last 8 years we have had a relationship with food, drink, travel and each other. We are raising 7 children in a blended family and as the children have gotten older, it has allowed us to take many mini vacations as a couple. It is these trips that lets us experience flavors and tastes from around the country.
Everyday Lush was born from the desire for us to work together and to help with everyone always asking for our suggestions on what we like and where we go. Now we are a little older and the adventures have become longer and our need to eat and drink has become more refined. We decided to co-write on our adventures. It could be Jeeping in the Rocky Mountains or going to a bar opening in Downtown Denver. We camp and try new recipes over a fire and when we go out to eat there is always signature foods and drinks on our table. Bartenders become our new friends for the night as we learn what, how and why a cocktail has come to life. We have stayed in motels, hotels, VRBO houses, a few cabins and a Yurt. Our constant desire to find new, cool and fantastic locations is all part of the journey that got us where we are now.
She writes with intelligent and beautifully words and I with the simpleton language that can be read by all. In the end, Everyday Lush is about adventure. Adventure of the palate and the tongue as sensed from a couple who Love one another and who have the desire to encourage everyone, especially our children, to get off the couch and experience everything they can, because there is adventure everywhere. Except for Sandusky Ohio, there is not much adventure there but everywhere else there is, you just need to open your mind and seek it out.
